J.D. Lewis

Mr. Lewis has over 30 years of program management experience in four major industries - nuclear power, petro-chemical, aerospace & defense, and mobile telecommunications. He has participated in management teams for contractors, customers, the US Government, and for state and local governments - and he has provided project management support and training nationwide as well as internationally.

Mr. Lewis participated in many of the largest and most complex programs this nation has undertaken in the past quarter century - some of these well over $1 Billion. Internationally, Mr. Lewis participated in the successful bid & proposal for a continent-wide air command and control system in Europe for NATO and the nationwide implementation of a grassroots mobile telecommunications system in Guatemala.

In the past ten years, Mr. Lewis's primary focus has been to provide management consulting expertise to many Fortune 100 aerospace & defense contractors in their bid & proposal efforts for potential US Government contracts. These proposals have covered almost everything the US Government buys - weapon systems, communication systems, satellites, information technology, training systems, wargaming systems, and basic research and development projects. Not only has Mr. Lewis led these proposal efforts for his clients, he has also led most of the program management aspects as developed and proposed by these contractors.

A major portion of Mr. Lewis's proposal consulting activities includes the effective training of all proposal resources - not just on proposal development processes, but also on effective program management approaches, techniques, and methodologies.

In November 2002, Boeing IDS hired Mr. Lewis as a consultant to be a Deputy Program Manager for two multi-billion dollar classified programs. During this assignment, Mr. Lewis designed formal monthly program reviews with customers and chaired these reviews on behalf of Boeing IDS. He conducted independant assessment reviews of program progress with recommendations for corrective actions and/or organizational changes needed. He also performed mock reviews of system-level design reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR).
